When it comes to beachy locales the volcanic lushness of Oahu and the ancient, sunbaked Fluerieu Peninsula couldn’t be be more distant, but that won’t stop us donning our Hawaiian shirts, combing our moustaches and entering Magnum country right here on Sellicks Beach (yes, we can spell, but indulge us). This soaring residence is technically on the edge of Mid-Century, but with such honesty and inspirational use of materials – painted (and exposed) brick, slate, thatched ceilings, timber combined with split levels, clerestory windows, cathedral ceilings and yes, cocktail friendly poolside oasis, we just couldn’t say no on this Friday afternoon. Enjoy!
